I think the best invention in the last 100 years is Smartphone. The reason I choose Smartphone because people need simple things that can connect them to the other and do all the task in that things, and also easy to carry on, so that can be used in everywhere and every time.
Smartphone is advance phones with functionality like computer, such as the ability to browse the internet and we can do our task with windows mobile, email, personal organizers, ability to read popular document formats, superior contact management
Smartphone was named Simon, and it was designed in 1992 by IBM. It is exhibited as concept product in that year at Comdex. Smartphone was released to public in 1993. Smartphone was not only as mobile phone but also contained calendar, address book, world clock, calculator, note pad, email, the ability to send and receives faxes, games, connection to internet, camera and video, windows phone.
Nowadays, there are many people who have been using Smartphone for their daily activities because it is really useful for their activities. It is not common to use cell phone which is only to phone and texting. People need something more advanced which provides a lot of useful feature that we needed now, such as
Operating system: a platform in your device where you can insert the program or application to make device is working. We can set many applications such as multimedia or games.
Application: offer email account, a QWERTY keyboard, huge screen, large amount of memory, fast processor, instant messaging, internet browsing with offering a full feature, and also PDA functionality with amazing contact management, updated weather.
Connectivity: USB connectivity (easier to transfer data between pc and Smartphone), Bluetooth (connectivity to another phone and computer), Wi-Fi (browsing and internet access a much faster)
Miscellaneous: for entertainment, it offer play audio and video, the camera come with at least 2 .0 megapixel until 12 megapixel. Moreover, it support most social networking sites and also can video chat such as Skype, so, it is being in touch with friends wherever you are.So, Smartphone is the best invention that I know. It is really sophisticated because it has many function that really useful for us such as operating system, application, and etc which can help us to do our task is easier. Moreover, with one small device in your pocket, you can contact anyone in anywhere. You can do your work or business, can listen to stored music, listen to radio, watch video and television, can be chatting with friend or the other, surf the internet, connect with other people and feel safe as you have communication device in an urgent situation. So, I suggest you to use Smartphone especially for people who really need gadget which can support their activities or duty.
